This is a new translation of two key passages from chapter 73 of the Futūḥāt al-Makkiyya on the Seal of the Friends (Saints). The texts are Ibn ʿArabī's responses to two of the questions in Hakīm al-Tirmidhī's questionnaire. They amplify what is meant by the two Seals of the Friends of God (khātam al-awliyā'), and give insight into the meaning of Jesus in both his first and second coming.
